There are two kinds of LAN cables: crossed and direct. Only
direct LAN cable can be connected with this LAN adapter.
The transmission speed may slow down if the LAN is shared by
more than one device.

Do not plug or unplug the LAN adapter when the Wii console is
turned on.
Make sure that the LAN adapter is connected correctly to your
Wii.
This LAN adapter can only be used with a Wii. It does not work
alone or with other kind of device or game console.
Do not use the LAN adapter if it is damaged in any way.
Do not touch the plugs with your finger or anything metal.
Do not dismantle, refit, or repair the adapter in any way. You
may damage it, which will invalidate your warranty.
Keep the adapter away from wet, hot, and oiled environments.

1 Connect one end of the supplied LAN cable to a router.
Connect the other end to your adapter.
2 Turn off your Wii console, then plug the adapter into one of the
USB ports on your Wii console.
3 Turn your Wii console back on and test the connection by using
your Wii remote control to navigate to Wii options:

connection test was successful”on your screen. You may be
prompted to perform Wii system updates.
